Online Case Access Portal
Please follow these instructions closely to gain access to your case online
Attorney of Record
Attorneys should use these instructions to gain access to their cases where they have an active case assignment.
1) If you do not already have an account on the Court's Public Portal, please create one. IMPORTANT: The EMAIL used to create your account MUST match the email listed on your CalBAR Record. Identity Verification is done by comparing the email registerer on CalBAR with the email on the request below.
2) Submit your Online Case Access Request using the below Microsoft Form. You can enter multiple case numbers under a single request. Online Case Access is granted at the case level. Requests must be submitted for each case you wish to access online.

3) Digital Services Staff will process your request and once accepted, you will receive one email per case containing a token access link. You must click on the link to add the case to your public portal account and gain access to the case.
Case Party: Petitioner, Plaintiff, Defendant, Other
Non-Attorney Parties on a case should use these instructions to gain access to their own case. Identity must be verified before granting access to any case.
1) If you do not already have an account on the Court's Public Portal, please create one.
2) In order to verify your identity and to gain access to your case, schedule a Video Identification Appointment with our Digital Services Team. During the appointment, clerks will verify your identity by asking you to show valid identification. Online Case Access is granted at the case level. Requests must be submitted for each case you wish to access online.

3) Once Court Staff verify your identity and that you are a party to the case, you will receive an email containing a token access link. You must click on the link to add the case to your public portal account and gain access to the case.
Frequently Asked Questions
Cases that are currently unavailable for online remote access through a portal account are; Adoptions, Mental Health, Juvenile, Search Warrant, Ramey Warrant and cases sealed by the court.
To view cases that you have been granted an access token to you must be logged into your portal account. Within your portal account you will see the My Existing Cases tab. Click the tab and you will see all cases that you have been granted access to. Here you can view the case summary and available documents on the case.
Case access is only granted to individuals that are either an attorney of record or an active party on the case.
An account is needed for parties to have access to electronic case files and documents in most case types, as governed by California Rules of Court rule 2.503.
Instructions on how to request online case access are found above depending if you are an attorney of record or case party.
You will only be able to view and download documents that are publicly available and available to all parties on the case. If the document is sealed, party confidential, or confidential to the court you will not be able to see or view it.
- If you have received the message: "You do not have access to the case anymore" or the case is no longer in your existing cases list, then something has changed within the case that has removed you from having continued access.
